What Civolu is
Civolu is a study site for Sweden’s citizenship civics test (medborgarskapsprov), which becomes part of the requirements for most adult applicants under the new citizenship rules. We publish plain-English guides that explain how Swedish society, democracy and the rule of law work, so you understand the material instead of memorising it.

Who runs the site
Civolu is run by the Civolu team, a small independent team building learning tools for people settling in a new country.
Our editorial method
- Each article answers one specific question and explains the reasoning behind the answer.
- Rules about the test (who must take it, dates, fees, format) are checked against official sources before publication and updated when they change. Because the test is new, details may still change; we date our updates.
- Any practice questions we write are our own original work. We never collect or publish questions reported from real test sittings.
- If you spot a mistake, tell us and we will correct it.
Our sources
We rely first on public sources: the Swedish Migration Agency (Migrationsverket), the agency responsible for the civics test, and Swedish government and parliament publications. Where we summarise official material, we link to it.
Independence
Civolu is not affiliated with Migrationsverket, the Swedish Government, any test provider or any public authority. Our content does not replace official information or legal advice. For your own case, always check Migrationsverket’s website.
