This policy explains what personal data is processed when you visit civolu.com, why, and what your rights are under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Last updated: 29 October 2026.
Who is responsible
The site is run by the Civolu team. The publisher’s full identity is given in the legal notice. For any question about your data: contact@civolu.com.
Data we process
Analytics (Google Analytics)
With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4, installed through the Site Kit by Google plugin, to learn which pages are read and improve our guides. These cookies collect technical data (pages viewed, visit length, device type, approximate country, how you reached the site). They are only set after you accept. Google Ireland Limited acts as our processor; some data may be transferred outside the EU under the safeguards provided by the GDPR (standard contractual clauses, EU–US Data Privacy Framework).
Legal basis: your consent. Retention: cookies last at most 13 months; analytics data is kept for at most 14 months.
Cookie consent banner
On your first visit a banner asks you to accept or refuse analytics. Your choice is stored in your browser so we don’t ask again on every page. You can change it at any time by clearing this site’s cookies in your browser; the banner will then appear again. Refusing does not stop you from using the site.
Messages you send us
If you email us, we process your address and message only to reply. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering requests. Retention: at most 3 years after our last exchange.
Technical data
Our hosting provider keeps technical logs (IP address, date, page requested) needed for security and to keep the site running, for a limited period.
What we don’t do
- We don’t sell or rent your data.
- We don’t use advertising cookies.
- We never ask for details about your citizenship application.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict, object to and port your data, and to withdraw your consent at any time. Write to contact@civolu.com; we reply within one month. You can also complain to a data protection authority, such as the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY, imy.se) or the authority in your own EU country.
Changes
We may update this policy, in particular when new services (practice questions, user accounts) launch. The update date is shown at the top of this page.
